I geuss as old age creeps into perspective , it seems that past and present are constantly in review mode , I lost another relitive that is responsible for my interest in fishing , hunting and getting out into the woods , and learning how to be in the woods on my own , camping and hunting , it's sad that it sometimes takes loss to realize exactly what I've lost since he moved away , I make this listing in the memory of Emery my uncle , the day he took me deer hunting for the first time , we road hunted some private land he new for most of the morning , and finally we got out of the truck , as soon as he closed his door , I saw 4 deer stand up in the brush about 75 yards away from what my imagination tells me , and I screened uncle emry !! There's some deer right over there !! He looked and looked and looked , he said he didn't see them , luckily I had brought that rediculuose but to me awesome bonocculars that they gave me at the end of gun school , I gave them to him , he worked with them for a while , set them down and said how the hell did you see those deer !! As he grabbed his rifle and clip , he fired on e from where we stood and now he showed me how to field dress a 3×4 white tail , all the way home he kept explaining how lucky we were and it doesn't always happen that way , I've learned that lesson several times , but I'll never forget the lucky day we had , and I know now just how lucky I really was ,,,, ( that day )
