wirehaired pointing griffons

So maybe 5-6 months ago, my family had to put my boy down. He was a vizla/yellow lab mix. 12 y/o. It was a really big hit, i got him when i bought my first house, was living solo, before i had even started dating my wife. He was my guy. Life happens though and unfortunately they dont get to stay around as long as we hoped. I am just now coming around to the idea of getting a new pup.

 That being said, after a bunch of research between my wife and i, we settled on a wirehaired pointing griffon. Weve been looking for breeders online on various sites and also finding them through friends who have pointing griffons/gsp/gwp. We found a few so far but was looking to see if anyone has any experience of their own. These are the breeders we have contacted so far, anyone know anything about them or have personal experience with them and want to share, that would be greatly appreciated! You can dm if you prefer to keep it private.

Heres what weve found so far:

Ridenhigh Gun dogs out of central oregon. they seem very promising

Brokenbow kennels in Idaho. we havent gotten a response from them yet so not sure.

Valley view griffons in Montana. Havent heard from these guys either yet, but hoping to soon.

If you have any other breeders that you had good experience with, feel free to dm and pass it on! Were looking for a quality kennel, none of this puppy mill type stuff. Someone that views their dogs as family and workers(duck and possible upland dog), as we will be looking for the same. Any info is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I ended up getting my griff elsewhere because the timing worked out, but I was very impressed with Phil @ Cascade Griffons in Montana. He made time for me on the phone and was clearly making certain that he would be potentially be putting one of his pups in the hands of someone who was serious about hunting. He has a website that is easy to Google up.
My wife and I are two years into the journey with our WPG and couldn't be happier.

I can recommend one to avoid based on the number of litters their bitch threw. Pm for more info.

IMO a good breeder is selective in the the breeding of their best dogs  in order to get the best of the breed from their efforts vs the maximum profit... but I get it. Some value profit over excellence!
