Yeah with the time I took off for elk season it basically cost me $5000. I might as well buy a tag in a state that's easier to hunt and spend only a week and tag out...  :dunno:

I was really lazy and didn't' want to make some huge production YouTube video but, I wanted to share this. Here is my DIY Jigging Jaw Jacker Base.

This was the first fish I pulled out of the ice at Cascade. Cant wait to get back over there.

As for the electronics, I really found it to be great. It helped me find the bottom and see exactly where my jig was in relation to the fish. It really made things nice IMHO.

Where is Lake Cascade located??

Yesterday was a rodeo. Snowmobile caught on fire right out of the gate. Got it out before all was lost but then we had to get it back to the truck and then shuttle all our gear with one machine and a single sled. Late start but pulled a jumbo on my second fish. Wind was pretty unpleasant and the cold flat nuked our drill batteries so we had to really throttle back our exploration. All in all it was a fun first trip. Im excited to get back there with what we have learned. Total we put about 50 perch on the ice, with 4 being jumbos. I lost two trout at the hole that were absolute slabs which was absolutely heart breaking.
