GMU 124 NW area by Ford WA
« on: January 31, 2021, 07:19:17 PM »
First time hunter never done this before but thought 124 was a good GMU for first time.  It is a big area.

Been using OnX maps to search public land

Saw some land up by Ford. Is that a good area for 124?

Is that good for Whitetails

Good access? Good hunting public land?

Any thoughts or experiences up that way. I’m near spokane

Thanks

You are an hour away and have 7 months at least, go explore and put feet on the ground.

Yes I've hunted that area a few times. Yes you will have other hunter with kids around. That doesn't make it bad or anything. It can be very hit or miss ,some days deer everywhere ,other days maybe not.
The more miles you put on your boots the better hunting you will find.
This can be said of most area these days.
I wouldn't expect the antlerless season to be the same as last year. They have already said in 2021 deer proposal that a reduction in antlerless season is coming. But really don't know what that will be. Any antlerless opportunity for youth I would take advantage cause soon NE Washington might not have any good opportunity for youth.

Goodluck.
