What would the total cost for a out of state hunter be to put in for spring bear Oregon?
$172 for the non-resident annual hunting license. $8 for the application fee for the controlled spring bear tag. If you draw the tag the tag cost is $16.50. Oregon sells the predator tags at the same cost to both residents and non-residents.
Since you paid for the license with the application, might as well hunt something else. A fall bear tag is $16.50, and an additional bear tag is $16.50 beyond that. A cougar tag is $16.50. A non-resident game bird validation is $44.50 and covers most bird hunting except turkey, which is a separate tag. The larger expense for Oregon is in the non-resident deer/elk/etc. game tags.
Well that is pretty attractive. And with all the nonsense going on with Washington seasons I’m having a hard time supporting there spring hunt.
