Utah SW Desert Pronghorn Advice?
« on: February 21, 2021, 01:04:49 PM »
I drew the any weapon tag through the Hunt Expo. I don’t know anything about the unit or the species. But I figured the apps were for a good cause and put in for all of them except the bear and turkey tags.

Anyone have any tips? It sounds like it should be a fill-able tag without a ton of knowledge. But still will try to learn as much as possible!

Thanks in advance.

That should be a really good antelope hunt as far as Utah antelope hunting goes.  SW Desert has lots of public land.

Hunted it years ago. Find the water (gallinaceous guzzlers mostly) and you find the antelope. Take plenty of extra drinking water and gas for your rig. Plenty of ice or other method of taking care of anything you shoot. Watch out for snakes. Should see a few wild horses. Fun hunt but quite isolated.

You might try the monster muleys forum. Good luck, your hunt should be a good time!
