Going on a shed hunt trip.
« on: March 18, 2021, 06:13:31 PM »
Hey all, I have a few days off the end of April first of May. Thought I might take a trip down towards South Central Idaho (base out of the Twin Falls area maybe) and then pop into NV maybe near Jackpot for the 5/1 opener in that area. I’ve never done a trip like this, nor been to either of these areas. Hoping to scoop up a few deer/elk sheds along the way and hopefully see some beautiful country. If anyone has any info on any of these areas or anywhere in between Western WA and there I’m all ears! Any advice, tips or insight is always appreciated.. feel free to PM me if you dont want to share on the public. Thanks much!!

Sounds like fun!  Good luck, sorry I can't point you to anywhere over there.

I did something like this last year when all the lockdowns went into effect. I went and quarantined in the desert for a week. Its difficult hitting new country and getting into bone if you don't know where the animals were when they dropped.  Go have have fun and burn some boot leather!

A few years back I talked to a guy in line to get into the  Puyallup Show.
He was carrying a 400 + dead head he got out of Sun River.
