1 bird away.
« on: April 29, 2021, 09:24:23 AM »
7 years ago I decided to chase the turkey slam.
The eastern turkey has kicked my ass every year. Well this year he finally succumbed  to my barrel
. Also got my Rio last week. So hoping the merriums cooperate now

Wow what a great bird.  Giant fan of feathers.  What did the spurs look like?

So what are you doing on Hunt Wa when you should be out chasing the slam? :chuckle:

Shoot smooth sailing from here man. The Merriam is the easiest out of the bunch and a full month to do it! Good luck!

Nice bird! I just finished the Wa slam on thursday, all with archery. The merriams should be a slam dunk for you. Smart thinking, (saving the easiest bird for last).

Good job and great video!  In your Eastern quest, have you found multiple locations with birds?  I've found a half dozen but only feel one is huntable.  I'm scared they won't be their next year, shot out or changing locations.   Hoping to hear there are more huntable locations than I realize.
