121 Huckleberry Spring Bear
« on: May 03, 2021, 10:38:52 AM »
First time posting on here. Drew a tag for Huckleberry 121 Spring Bear. Went out this past weekend and covered a lot of ground but didn’t see much bear sign at all so I was curious if anyone familiar with the area has insight on elevation, time of spring they usually move around the most, or if they have seen any bears out and about yet? Any help would be great too, I’m looking to fill my first ever Bear tag and I have been and I am willing to put in the work for it. Thanks in advance!

They are still not very active, should get better every day through the rest of the season.

It is really starting to kick off and will only get better.  Saw a bear Saturday and my cameras are starting to get pics.  Mid day they appear to moving pretty good compared to even a week ago.  I would personally concentrate at lower elevations and move up as the grass greens up.  Find good grass / feed, water and sun and you should find bears during the warmer parts of the day.

:yeah:  Still a little early, but we are seeing a little more activity just about every day.
