I would love to see some of those pics too. It's my backyard but never been much of an elk hunter.

Iv only ever got to hunt spikes, but here are couple bulls I got on cam last year.

Nothing giant but had the time of my life a few years back with that tag. Chased a ton of elk. My first bow kill so I’m still over the moon with this guy.

Awesome pics!took my first trip into the unit on the 4th, awesome country for sure. Excited for September to come! Does anyone know if Cowiche mill road is open or not? Seems to be lots of drama over that road, and was thinking of checking it out my next trip next week

Never been any problems with Cowiche mill Rd.  I wouldn’t expect much from the mill road though.  Once the Van Wyk property was bought by the wdfw it opened wide open for the natives.  You could see a dozen bulls in the evening from the road.  I was helping a friend with the rut tag there last year and we saw a herd of 120+with a rag 6 and a two point only.  Cowiche is one of the hardest hunted areas by natives.  You can access the Cowiche side of the unit from the mill road, jump off or nasty creek.

Thanks for the info, hoping to get into some nasty holes and find something decent

That’s a great unit to have an any bull tag. Somewhere deep in my computer I have pictures from 2016 of multiple bulls on a trail camera
