So does this mean that you can't camp and scout this weekend?? Son and I were going to scout out the Bethal unit this weekend camping along the Bethal ridge rd. Going to make some phone calls tomorrow.

Just drive a couple miles further and camp on forest service land.

As I read the closure, associated roads, trails and facilities in the unit are close if they are DNR, community forest or state land.  I would be interested if you find out different.

DNR land is state land. If it’s state land managed by DNR, it’s closed. If it’s national forest, it’s managed by a different agency and you’d have to check with that agency. We’ve got lot of state land here, but we’ve also got lots of federal land, which at this point is not closed under a blanket order. There are national forests that are closed, so check before you go.

Bethel is split between DNR and NFS. However NFS put out an announcement that they aren't closed yet, however strongly request you don't camp or other recreational activities currently

At the public meeting Last night The way I understood it, according to the gamie present, was   all Methow Wildlife areas will be closed starting Friday to include public access sites to water bodies,

I do believe that was said at meeting.
That's what I hate about these closures the most is the misinformation that is passed along.
DNR does own Alot of boat launches, camp grounds, and the whole lake in areas of Washington.
Then you have Forrest service and BLM that are open.
Then you hear FS recommend no recreation, but go to there website says nothing like that.
It's just hard to get accurate info in these times, yet everybody has a smart phone.

bethel ridge road from white pass all the way over the hill to the rattlesnake drainage is all national forest and is open for recreation.  Have at it, just be smart. No fires, don't park in the grass, etc. Also bring bug spray because the mosquitoes are thick right now.

Thanks Karl. We are heading up towards Rattlesnake Springs this weekend and was not sure if they were closing National Forests as well.

Anyone have any new updated verified info on Road Closures due to fire conditions?

I contacted WDFW yesterday and Wenatchee National Forest today but was not able to get the whole story.  WDFW was helpful in letting me know of the INCIWeb site for getting the latest on fires currently going for the state but was not able to get thru to National Forest Headquarters in Wenatchee.  Hearing rumors from friends that live in Ellensburg that all dirt roads leading north of there are closed?  If it's paved it's still open.  I know that all DNR land is closed but Federal Land such as National Forest or BLM is possibly still open.

Feeling like the new normal around here eh?
