Lake Bonaparte
« on: September 11, 2021, 05:48:21 PM »
Now that Lake Bonaparte is back down to a Evacuation Level 1. This will be my first chance to fish at the lake since buying property near by. Any recommendations on best lures or set-ups.

Have not fished it in years, but my "go to" was a j-9 rapala in either silver/blue, or rainbow trout an troll right through the schools of bait (Kokanee)
Usually 30 feet down in 60 feet of water was a good start,...

I've had great luck casting or trolling a frisky fly on Bonaparte or Swan Lake.

Thank you both for your comments. I'll be heading up there soon. I've never heard of the "Frisky Fly", but will stop at North 40 to see if in stock and for more intel.
