Montana snow,sheds,branding,prairie dogs
« on: May 05, 2009, 09:31:31 AM »
Just got back from montana last night. Had a good time. I go every year and do some cattle branding and shoot some prairie dogs.

Was not ready for snow. This was Thursday in the Missouri river breaks.

Followed these for a while but never caught up with them

Found my first shed of the year

This is what it looked like by Saturday. There were thirty bulls in the field. This is one group that was close. Some were on their second points on antler growth.

Time for prairie dogs. I got about 30 of them. And missed a lot more then I hit. That .17 is a great gun for this. I learned that cheap scopes suck. every little bump and it was out of wack. Time for a new scope.

Time for a long walk looking for sheds.
This guy shed his whole head

this one been here for a couple years

Spring is here.

Baby blue healers

baby cows

colt about 9 days old

Time for work. we did about 450 calfs this day.

the end of the day.

I didn't notice the comma in your thread title, so I thought you were branding prairie dogs  ;)  I'd have loved to see that!
