Cougar Season in Kittitas/Yakima Counties?
« on: May 03, 2009, 04:55:53 PM »
There seems to be a mistake in the 2009 hunting regulations, or at least I hope it's a mistake. I'm wondering if anyone else has noticed on page 50 under "General Seasons" for Cougar, it shows "328, 368" which leaves out everything inbetween, some of which would be Quilomene, Teanaway, Taneum, Manastash, Umtanum, Little Naches, Nile, Bumping, Bethel, and Rimrock.

So what am I missing? Has this already been discussed on here? I'm thinking that maybe instead of "328, 368" it should be "328-368?" Or is there really no cougar season in all those GMU's ???

I have been wondering the same thing bobcat. I am pretty sure this is a misprint, I don't see any reason for them to close all of those units off.

Have you e-mailed the WDFW for confermation of the missprint, because if is not a missprint then people can be in trouble if they do not see that or believe its a miss print (hunt any ways)and it isn't.

I got an email about 2 weeks ago with an attatchment that said that was one of the mistakes. It should read 328-368. I cannot figure out how to save that document so I can send it to others. If you do email WDFW they should send you the same document.

They usually have a link on their website that lists any errors in the regulation pamphlet. I can't find any such thing this year.

Actually I don't need to see it, I'll take your word for it. Now that I think about it, I probably received that same email, but most likely deleted it without reading it, like I usually do with those news releases from the WDFW.

It wasn't in a news release. I wrote to them concerned about the same problem, and they sent it to me in an attatchment.

I just checked the news releases at WDFW and could not find any thing refering to "missprints" in the hunting regs
 :dunno:

If you can find it, please share.

Ok, I just checked my inbox and drafts folder and aperantly I deleted it but I sent an email to the WDFW again and should get it in a couple days. If you want a copy of it send me your email in a pm and I will forward it to you as soon as I get it.
