Both items have to be in stock for the BOGO correct?  I would prefer the Octane 45 but it hasn't been in stock for a bit.

For the BOGO does the $599 or $799 have to be a specific manufacturer or is it any suppressor over that $ amount?  Just curious as the only ones that show a manufacturers rebate are the Silencerco branded suppressors.

Only the suppressor you are purchasing has to be in stock.  The Octane 45 does not have to be in stock if that is what you want to choose for the promotional suppressor. I have a Deadair Sandman S (January 2021) and a Sparrow (Bought at same time but was on backorder until March 2021) in NFA jail.  I have heard that for a .223 that it is quieter if you get a .223 specific suppressor as opposed to using the .30 cal?  If that is the case I was thinking that a .223 suppressor might be my next purchase.  If it doesn't make that much difference I do like the Hybrid 46 and Omega 36M (both currently out of stock) or a Deadair Ghost (which wouldn't qualify for the BOGO)....

To my ear I cannot tell a significant difference between a 223 can and a 30 cal can on the 223. Some guys buy a can for a specific gun. If that is you then get the 223 can. If you want to host it on many different rifles then go with the larger cans. Most of my choosing is in 9mm or less or I went with the Omega36m and use it across the spectrum of guns. Get the 223 end cap for a decibel or 2 savings.

There are differences across the spectrum. Most often, people that really aiming to the greatest sound reduction, they will choose caliber specific suppressors instead of over boring.  With that can also come a difference in weight and size. Additionally, your intended use should dictate what you choose.  Some people want to suppress their 5.56 coyote bolt action. Some people want to suppress their 5.56 SBR AR and shooting 5,000 rounds a year. Those are to vastly different sets of needs and that should dictate what options are on the table.

Example 1: Coyote 5.56 bolt action rifle scenario. Your priorities are accuracy, sound suppression, weight, price. You're most likely interested in something like the Griffin Reece 5 Mod 4 at $584

Example 2: 5.56 AR duty rifle and extensive training to the tune of 10,000 rounds a year. Your priorities are accuracy, FLASH suppression, sound suppression, long-term heavy use durability. You need to be into something like a Surfire SOCOM556 RC2 at $989.
