"There are differences across the spectrum. Most often, people that really aiming to the greatest sound reduction, they will choose caliber specific suppressors instead of over boring.  With that can also come a difference in weight and size. Additionally, your intended use should dictate what you choose.  Some people want to suppress their 5.56 coyote bolt action. Some people want to suppress their 5.56 SBR AR and shooting 5,000 rounds a year. Those are to vastly different sets of needs and that should dictate what options are on the table."

Can you elaborate on the differences in your two examples and what the differences in suppressor would be? Thanks!
Cuterebra are NOT cute!

For sure.

Example 1: Coyote 5.56 bolt action rifle scenario. Your priorities are accuracy, sound suppression, weight, price. You're most likely interested in something like the Griffin Reece 5 Mod 4 at $584

Example 2: 5.56 AR duty rifle and extensive training to the tune of 10,000 rounds a year. Your priorities are accuracy, FLASH suppression, sound suppression, long-term heavy use durability. You need to be into something like a Surfire SOCOM556 RC2 at $989.
