Winter Salmon (Puget Sound)
« on: January 04, 2022, 07:30:37 PM »
Just curious how everyone is doing for the winter fishing? Any reports? My pops and I went early on the 31st to clear the boat of ice and snow and get everything ready on the boat. Took about 4 hours. Went to the office at Dagmars and they told us sorry the ramps are too icey to launch boats. Planning on going this weekend and was just checking to see if anyone is having any luck.

No luck since they closed it for the areas around me.  Kind of a bummer, but glad to do my part to protect the 13 Stilly Chinook that are out in the middle of the Pacific somewhere.

Good luck to you though!

I couldn’t possibly get a boat off my road until this schtuff is gone

Since we got screwed out of fishing in 8-1 and 8-2 for the past few years.  I haven't been out.

One does not hunt in order to kill; on the contrary, one kills in order to have hunted. If one were to present the sportsman with the death of the animal as a gift he would refuse it. What he is after is having to win it, to conquer the surly brute through his own effort and skill with all the extras that this carries with it: the immersion in the countryside, the healthfulness of the exercise, the distraction from his job. ~ Jose Ortega y Gasset
