Swift Reservoir

Can someone give me an opinion on trout fishing at Swift Reservoir this time of year.
I fished there in August and got an easy limit, 11-14 inch fish.  However they were soft and very poor eating, tasted muddy.  They ended up as crawdad food.  I know it's good fishing there this time of year but wondering if they are any better table fare.  Thinking they've been in the lake longer now & the water is cooler.

There's not going to be a big difference. If you smoke them, you'll enjoy them a lot more.

Answered my own question.  Went to Swift yesterday, the fish were firm & good color.  Had a couple for dinner tonight & they ate very well.  They were biting good but not hard, more like kokanee.  Partner & I got a limit and a half in 5 hrs.  Could have had a good 3 limits if we could have kept them on.
