Anybody tried this?
« on: February 09, 2022, 07:40:10 AM »
Got to thinking about smearing a drag cloth with bobcat gland lure and having it trail me to my traps when traveling my trap line just in case a boddie crosses the trail might be enough to have one follow the trail to the trap that would have more lure and bait, wondering if anyone has already tried this and had a y success?
Think of the strangest things when unable to sleep, gonna give it a try and if works or doesn't will report at later date figure nothing ventured nothing gained.

Heard of people dragging a chunk of beaver. Don't  know if it works?

I would think it would work just fine. I ran into a guy in Idaho down by Lapwai that trapped wolves and he said he would go far into an area he knew held wolves and collect scat and some soil near a den site that appeared to have urine, hair etc. and then Ziploc it up and take it into a different packs territory and set his traps and put the scat there for attraction. Said it worked wonderfully cuz they thought another pack invaded their territory.  :dunno:
