I’m looking into getting my wife into some equipment as I’m moving into big game hunting more and more. My wife would like to go with me but isn’t invested into hunting herself quite yet. I want to set her up with a decent pack and boots as I believe those are 2 areas not to skimp on. We walked through cabelas the other day and found a Kelty coyote 105 that I think would work for her. It has multiple adjustments like an EXO pack without the option of a meat shelf and will carry all the “stuff” she brings with her. Have any of you used this pack and what’s your opinion?
Another thing we’re looking at are boots as you know are pretty limited as womens department goes. We’d like to get a lower to mid calf for ankle support but would like something that can be rebuilt if needed. She’s not interested in “moon boots” so something that’s snug to the top of the foot would be great. What’s your suggestions/ opinions?
