Well… 26k chinook and 6.4K coho over bonneville yesterday and they want to shut it down starting tomorrow to protect tules… hoping it’s temporary and they reopen it soon. If I’m not mistaken the hill betters are still fishing. Bummer  :bash:
In this family we aim for the game, we wear camo, we respect our rifles, we pray before meals, we lock and load and we never miss

The little bit I've been around this stuff the less I want to know.  It's all broken, throw the sturgeon retention on it as well.  :bash:
We must reject the idea that every time a law's broken, society is guilty rather than the lawbreaker. It is time to restore the American precept that each individual is accountable for his actions.

If a couple million pinks returning isn't enough for a full season, no chance for the rest of the salmon species.

If they consider a released fish a mortality, then why do we have to use barbless hooks?  Aren’t barbless hooks suppose to stop the mortality rate?  The answer is if you hook one regardless if it is a hatchery fish or native, they are just going to die after spawning anyway, you keep it!  This clipped fin and barbless is nothing but BULLS****! If fish and game considers a released fish a dead fish then just keep it!

This is why they allow wild retention now. Kinda a middle ground.

:yeah:
It would be great if anglers could use barbless hooks, and make the decision wether or not to keep fish based on survivability, but some can’t handle that power.
