How did all of the seasons do this year on spikes? Archery hunted only saw one legal spike.
What did everyone else see?

I hunted early archery in the Yakima units. I saw a lot of elk during scouting and hunting. 6-8 legal spikes and I saw another hanging in a camp. Seemed like a good amount of calves in the mix as well. I blew 2 good shot opps at spikes (never drew back) and several more cow opps slipped away just out of reach. It was a good season even though my group of 4 did not punch any tags. Everyone was having encounters. The best action was in the first week of the season and as the hunting pressure continued the elk slipped deeper in to hiding.

Seemed really good to me, saw about a dozen spikes before season and probably that many during 2 days of muzzy and 4 days of modern. I shot mine opening day of muzzy season and it was the fourth spike I saw that day. Also a Yakima unit
