3 inch tube jig, nice and slow.  Start at the shore and work my way out until I find them and then concentrate in those areas.  Going to try and head down to the Dworshak for some GIANT smallie action at the end of this month or the beginning of May.   Probably May will be more realistic.

Like these? I just started to use them last September on the Pend Oreille river last year out of desperation. Never used them before. Found out they worked awesome for smallies, just like the package said they would  , I’m a slow learner.

Looks right to me.  I like those pumpkin colors.  I also like the Watermelon and black colors

Yep, but I like the jigs with the lead the same shape as the tube jig instead of the round heads, but the round heads will work.  Killer on Smallies!!

how do you fish them?  drop them to the bottom, let them sit a few seconds then bump them along for a bump or two, let sit, repeat?

I tossed them out and let them hit the bottom and then slowly bounce them back to me.

That’s what I do too. It takes some getting used to to know when it’s a bite or stuck on something. I used way to light of line when I used them the first time. I’m switching some of my medium action poles to fluorocarbon for heavier jigs like the tubes.

how do you rig the senkos?  Wacky?

I prefer Texas. Find how long it takes to hit bottom. If you’re impatient it probably takes longer than you think  get it all the way down there. They’ll bite on the drop

Blue and black jig with blue black craw trailer always.  Flip wood and docks.  Flip shallower up docks as it warms.  Alway look at how the lands lays and focus on deeper sides of lake.  Also 4” Yamamoto 176 color (dark brown with black fleck)
Drop shot shallow to deep ledges for smallies.
