That’s a broad subject. But basic downrigger techniques for Puget sound coho is:
11” Flasher – white is all you need
Hoochie – something in green – 30” leader tied with two 4/0 hooks, put a salted herring strip on the front hook
Drop it down 40 feet at first light and troll with the current 3.0mph or so.
Go 10 feet deeper every half hour as the sun rises.
Look for surface disturbances, birds feeding, fish jumping, tide rips, watch your electronics, adjust accordingly.
