No more muleys for while, so back to whitie country.  I rattled this guy in about 12, and then another buck in behind me that I didn't see until too late.

I had my camera on a tripod, but the legs weren't nearly high enough, so I was holding the camera above my head to try to capture him.  A little uorthodox, but I got a few tht weren't completely blury.  Any tag holders here willing to take this buck?

heresanother buck.  I spotted him and played tag with him for what semed forever.  I knew he had a doe nearby.  Then I heard "the wheez" and I spotted the big boy.  He was about 24 inches and a 5x5, but he had really shor tines.  Neat thing is they were black.  Sorry peeps, no pics of the big guy, but I did get some of the little fellar...

Thanks Michael.   Yes and no.  They come in, but not nearly like the whities.  The whities come hard and fast.  the muleys usually saunter in.  I brought in two muley does this trip on one rattle.  Mule deer usually come in much slower and I don't hang around long enough for them.  I usually rattle about 5 minutes.

then I was to my honey hole.  4 years in a row...booner bucks rattled in.  One absolute phenomenal one, one non-typical one and lots in-between.  This year they logged right next to it and around it, so wasn't sure what would happen.  I got set up.  Not very many ot ops, but its in a real good spot, so maybe I need to take the pruners.  Slammed the antlers together for about 60 seconds then got ready.....nothing.  All of a sudden a nice, not monster, but very nice whitey came flying by from behind.  he obviously saw me and I saw him heading out of country.  CRAP!  I could have gotten a shot, but no chance for photos.  Just need more light or for the bugger to hold.  I rattled again for about 30 seconds.  Then heard a twig snap.  Right where they always come from.  I couldn't see anything.  I waited about 2 minutes the caught movement on the hill.  I grunted and he stopped.

look familiar?   I haven't compared pics yet from last year.  Looks like his face kind of but again I haven't compared.  It started snowing, so I headed back into muley country.  Nothng big, a nice 2 and another three point or two.  I then ran into a non-typical young buck.  I got some pics of him but havne't checked if they turned out.  It was almost dark.  They were taken about 100 yards from where I took the buck pics from the Peculiar thread.  I will post his pic there so as not to crowd this anymore.   I ran into very nice whitey on the way there.  He had alot longer tines than this uy and was more basket like.  I got the tripod up, but he didn't hold the 3 extra seconds I needed.   I sawa beautiful 4 point muley on the way out, down in the low country, but h was on the trail.  It was too dark for a moving target, so I just enjoyed his antlers.
