Bandtailed Pigeon Harvest Report
« on: September 22, 2023, 11:12:54 AM »
FYI, The WDFW harvest report system for Bandtailed Pigeons will not accept 0 as the number of birds taken on a day you hunted. WDFW is aware of this and is working on getting it corrected.  Yes, I got skunked!
You'll never get a Big'un if you keep shooting Little'un's.

Yes, that's weird, isn't it? I had an issue with that, too. Thanks for posting this.

I had a second conversation with WDFW and for now, they asked me to just put down one bird instead of zero birds taken.  I asked them, "won't that be garbage information for your harvest report? That will make it look like everyone who hunted always got at least one. That's junk information for any real survey ain't it?"

"It's as close as we can get for this year, so just put in the number and don't worry about it."

I'm not impressed at all.

Sounds like WDFW
If I would have had a better shooting lane I could have cleaned up around our bird feeder! :chuckle:
