Lock Dry Lubricant
« on: September 25, 2023, 06:28:01 AM »
Anyone use this on their car door locks? My Ranger is manual door locks, no key fob. The passenger side pretty much won't unlock, and now the driver side is getting temperamental. Was thinking some dry lube might help? Any advice?

I used the lube on your link a couple of years ago on my front door lock.  The door faces the west, when it got hot it dripped all over more door.  Did not hurt anything but it was messy, and being a dry lube it should not be.  Maybe it was displacing something else I had put in there....I don't know.  That said I don't think it would hurt anything

My local Ace didn't have the lube in the link I provided. But they did have the stuff in the blue can Wadu1 has used. So I gave it a try. The lock on the passenger side now works just fine, and the driver side is as smooth as Gary Coleman!
