Finally Some Nice Hens
« on: June 09, 2009, 07:09:06 PM »
Seems some of the bigger hens have moved up onto the beds after my last trip. Last trip the biggest fish we landed was a little over a pound, maybe. This trip we only landed 7 fish, which was pretty dang slow, but all were nice hens. This one was 3.5, maybe 4 pounds. Caught another just like her a little after that, but in that particular spot the current was too strong to snap a pic without risking running the boat into some boulders. Question though...normally there are a bunch of smaller males cruising around by all the beds, but we didn't catch any this time. It was on Monday, maybe weekend pressure ran most of the fish out??? I don't know. Anyway, heres a pic. Hopefully fishing keeps getting better. Headin back out Thursday.
