2024 North Central WA Mule Deer Foundation banquet
« on: March 21, 2024, 09:54:11 PM »
April 20th at the Chelan County Fairgrounds.

We have some great prizes this year including a wall tent!   Great games, great food (smoked Tri Tip!) and great fun to be had by all.  We have some great things lined up.

Tickets can be purchased from me or at the link below.

We are still looking for volunteers and donations!  Anyone and anything accepted!

Early bird ends tomorrow!

We have only sold 10 tickets so chances are good at this point!

We really need some participation.  If we can’t get folks to show up this will be a thing of the past.  My wife and I and the other couple of volunteers put in too much time and effort to make this a fun night for everyone and have gotten great feedback but we just can’t seem to sell tickets.

What does the early bird put you in the running for?

Every banquet ticket bought before the end of the day on 4/8/24 gets put into a drawing.  Winner gets to pick from the Forkhorn board (below) Sorry - making it the small size to upload really makes it hard to read....  If anyone wants a clearer picture send me a PM and I can text it to you.

How many banquet tickets have been sold/are left?

Interested, but not sure I can make it work.

I haven’t heard from the RD regarding up to date ticket sales but there are plenty of tickets left!

Dinner will be smoked Tri tip and citrus herbed chicken!

Come on folks!  We are at 35 ticket sales right now.  If we don't get 50 tickets sold by Friday I have to cancel the event......

If you cancel it, what happens to the tickets that were sold?

Facebook groups are your friend for advertising the event. Doesn’t look like the north central chapter is very active on Facebook?

They would be refunded.  Not sure how they do that but will figure it out.  Still hoping for a few more ticket sales so we don't have to...

I think that is part of the issue and unfortunately we haven't gotten much help there. The previous social media guy at MDF left and evidently did not leave all the login info.  MDF contacted him and he said he would give them the information if they paid him to do it.  It is a breach of contract since he was employed by them at the time he created the accounts and is their property but who knows how long that would take.  I tried to get them to set up a new account so we could advertise better but it sounds like corporate wants to limit the actual chapters having accounts and want everything to go through the State page.  I tried to tell them it was going to affect sales but maybe now they will understand....

Is there a reason the banquet is right at the start of turkey season? Seems like that would be a pretty limiting factor for attendance.

Unfortunately in Idaho with the family that weekend (kind of wish I was turkey hunting though...)

The venue books out a year in advance.  It is tough to get changes in unless one of the other yearly events cancels.  We are going to try and possibly push for earlier next year but its tough to plan things around the turkey opener, fishing opener, other MDF events in the state, RMEF and DU events, Easter, Mothers Day etc.....
