It's a beautiful spot with no through traffic.  When we brought the idea to the ODFW the first year we did this (2022), we were surprised to find that we were the first to have a fishing derby on the lake-- it's one of the best spots for kokanee!   The Wallowa Mountains are gorgeous, and Joseph is a great little town.
