I been out on the Hula Girl a few times.  For bottom fish they target sea bass.  Lings a few get taken but not too many.  After being on them a few times I am kinda soured on them.  The last time I had two ling cod and when I got home and was vaccum packing the fillets - no ling cod just bass.  When I contacted them they insisted the cod was in my bag and said I did not know how to tell the two apart.  They refused to make it up by a free/reduced next trip.   I will go Tequila next time.  Just my  :twocents:

BUT depending where you are for the drive I would look into going out of Depot Bay.
The rates are less and the yield is more.  For me the drive is just a little longer and with the rate difference that is my preference.  Plus you can add crabbing.  And if you want to crab on you own the limit is more than west port.  Also clamming is nearby
Shoot straight Shoot often
