"Pig Bomb" on Discovery Channel last night

Did anybody see the show on Discovery last night about the wild pig problem last night? Mostly focused on the South and Texas showing how the feral pig population has exploded in the last few years and how smart they are getting. Pretty interesting watching. 

They mentioned that there are 40 states that have feral pigs.....does Washington?

good for them. there having pig explosion. but you have to pay $450.00 to kill one in texas mainly. people are profiting from it.Rick

And that is what I do not understand, these people are crying saying they are destroying everything and want them gone. I had 7 guys last year ready to go on a Texas hunt and we could not even get a discount. I can understand making a profit but for petes sake have a little business sense when running one.

Same thing in California.  I just can't see myself paying all that $$ for a feral pig.

they all complain about all the rooting and damage. but you cant do it for free. just never made no scense to me. use to want to do it. but the cost was just to much. Rick

I buy a pig every year and have it butchered 220lb Pig cut and wrapped for $450, late last year I decided that I wanted to go on a guided hunt in Northern Cali for wild feral pigs, I have always wanted to go pig hunting until I found out what the prices those guys down there wanted for a single pig, guided only hunt for 1 pig $750 not including license and tag, license and tag = $210 , maybe I'm a cheap ass?,  that's a $1000 dollars for one pig that's not even butchered yet.

i honestly had no clue guys were trying to get big money for pigs. im calling my buddy tomorrow and get the particulars. now how do i bring this up to the wife and make it seem like it was her idea hmmmm...
