Couple coho
« on: September 23, 2024, 06:50:01 PM »
Been hitting the beaches last couple weekends. Hasn't been crazy hot, but hot enough to get a few limits of feisty shoreline coho. Catching these fish when they chase your offering right to your feet sure is a heck of a good time!

I love catching them off the beach.

I'm usually day dreaming when one of them hits it 5 feet from shore.....   It wakes me right up.    :chuckle:

As much as I'd love to be put on a boat chasing them around,  I think I prefer fishing for them off the beaches. It's low tech, predictable, and inexpensive. Learn how a couple beaches fish on various tides aand you're set. The act of fishing for them can be a bit monotonous at times, but boy it's exciting when they blow up on your gear right in the surf, or reject it rifht at your feet and swirl around looking for it again right in front of you.

I used to skip school and go cast off mukelteo and kill a bunch of silvers when I was supposed to be in school.
