Went long!
« on: September 29, 2024, 05:30:17 PM »
got tired of playing with lead acid batteries on the TM. Running out of power in five hours leaking Which is my biggest peeve. Heavy and messy.  Well, the lithium batteries came down in price so. I waded lout the pros and cons. Decided it was worth it so I bought 2 31’s lithium deep cycle batts. They have everything but Bluetooth. After research it is suggested not to run power over 8.5. Due to burning up the armature’s in the trolling motor. Quest brushless doesn’t have this problem I guess not 100% sure. Charging now looking forward to putting them to the test, especially on the Columbia river trolling for salmon🤑🤑🤑

You won't regret switching.  I've been running lithium for 3 or 4 years now.  They are amazing compared to Lead acid.  Prices now about half of what they were only a couple of years ago.

I've got a trolling motor for my single man pontoon boat and the lead acid battery has crapped out. What's the current recommendation for a 12v ~50 amp battery?

O.nerka  go to li time web site. They’ll have what you need. The 12v minni 50ah or the 24 size 12v 100ah. Gl
