Really long shot: South Dakota
« on: October 22, 2024, 07:43:42 PM »
Anybody planning to hunt birds in s Dakota the week or two after Nov 15th and would be open to connecting? I’ll be coming back for the second half of my non resident license after I finish deer hunting in Michigan. One more day here before I hit the road for the mitten state. Been a fun few days!

I just saw your post. Sorry, I was there during that time and alone.  I rarely check this forum after since I moved to North Carolina.  I hunted about 10 days and had a great time. Based out of Akaska, SD.

I was in the hood at Halloween and the first few days of November, looking for bucks.   Weather wasnt the best for big bucks, but I bet pheasant hunting was nice.

You see anything good?  I’ve got enough points in all those South Dakota units to draw any of them.

I did.  I was a hair early.  The rut just started basically as I left.  Later than I expected.

That country is amazing.   I'll be back with my camera unfortunately not in the points game much any longer.
