does anybody have any experience with the "alaskan guide series" I was thinking of getting the 3.5_10x44 but havnt heard much about them.

Got one on my .250 Savage.  It has been a great scope!  I've used it in pouring rain, snow, -11° to 100° and for an inexpensive scope, it performs like a champ.

a buddy ran one in 6.5-20x50. it was OK not great but good enough for the $$  I could never buy one when you can get a 3-9x40 4200 online for $250.00 new. way more glass and you can sell it if you don't like it.
