Any Polaris Expedition owners out here.  Heading south to pick one up?  Any thoughts or suggestions?

Brother in law has the one with the canapy . It's extremely loud . Thought about trading in my General XP4 for one until I rode in his . If I do get one it will be the one with open bed.

That is the direction we are going. Easier access to the motor and belt which is important. If you talk with him interest in his break in period. A PM is ok and I could share my contact info.  Just a request and if you don’t want to that's cool.

Get a 25’ if you aren’t already. They reduced the cab noise by like 25% compared to the 24’s

Brother in laws is a 25 ADV and it's still extremely loud . Thats why i will get an XP if i do decide to trade in the General,  plus it has the dump bed. Motor wont be inside the cab with me . There are things that can be done to quite them down . My General XP4 was pretty loud ( not as loud as his )when I bought it . I bought 80mm sound deadening mats from Amazon and put them everywhere I could . Covered the entire rear firewall ( then installed a carpet kit ) removed the headliner and installed it on the roof , then reinstalled liner . Pulled the interior door skins and put it on the inside of both interior and exterior skin.  Pulled parts of the tunnel and installed it inside there . Basically anywhere I could hear a hollow sound I used the mat . Same can be done on the Xpeditions. As far as break in just follow the Polaris guidelines and you will be fine . One trick is once the factory belt is broke in take it off and use it for a spare . That way, you don't have to limp back to the trailer/ camp on a new belt . Buy a Hunterworks Belt and break it in and use it as the main belt ( they are far superior to the Polaris belt) . Not sure on the clutch but if it uses the square pucks like ALL the other Polaris clutches,  replace those with Hunterworks rollers . They reduce wear greatly .

I really appreciate your thoughts and ingenuity along with your products suggestions.  Going south Wednesday to pick it up.  Went for the XP5,  grandchildren dictates purchase with Grandma.   I will be looking forward to this acquisition and new adventures.
