HUNTNNW 2025 trail cam thread and photos
« on: May 19, 2025, 04:53:01 PM »
I’ll post my personal trail cam pics here for 2025 and scout/hunt photos. First up is Idaho spring bear and it’s been a slow one to start this year. This is the best bear in so far and he never touched the bait and never returned. Our other barrel has been out 34 days and 0 bears.

New line of baits? Or places you’ve set before? Crazy the big dog didn’t stop. Must be on a mission. Good luck. Thanks for running your thread again. Always quality animals.

Only pic I got of both of these bucks all year long. The BW one looks to have trash coming off him and I have a feeling I know what buck he is.

Both spots the same. The one that hasn’t been hit is normal for it to take awhile, but not this long. It’s been a great bait for nice bears in June.

Nice pics. It's strange bears aren't at your bait... Good luck on the bear hunts.  I passed on spring bear to make an xtra run to WA for cams and scouting. Grabbed a point and called it good.

Well down to 1 bear bait as they logged my spot and crushed my barrel and cam. The one bait that hadn’t been hit has 4 bears on it now.

Started some whitetail scouting. This buck looks to be on his way to being a 6 or has a split g2 on right side

I’ve only seen a handful of bucks in my life with this much growth in June and all turned into big bucks. Excited to watch him over the next couple months.

Couple miles away I hunted this buck a few years ago. He was high 170’s  Buck this year has quite a bit more antler than he did at this time but less mass. Be real interesting how big he gets

It consumed me. He just up and disappeared. Had quite a few cats in area and thought he was killed. I spent my entire fall trying to find him. Following spring and summer I tried again and nothing. That fall I got a pic sent to me of it dead. Killed by a bowhunter on private about 2 ridges and 5 miles away.

Dang, that’s rough. Better to a bowhunter than a cat I suppose. Gotta love a tall, square framed 5x5, especially when their g2 is taller than their g3. Makes them look like they’re wearing a crown.

The buck I got last year had about that same growth as the one you've been posting for this year.I believe,I'd have to look at my archives of trail cam pics .That 170 is a hog.
Anyway ,your on to a good one....👍

Made it into one of my all time favorite trail cam spots I have ever had and the one I share the most photos from on this thread. Last year after my deer hunt on Oct 12 I put new batteries in and empty sd card so it’s running come spring because you cannot access this area till July due to snow. Well some D-bag hunters came in after I left and found one of our spots we camp in and left trash everywhere! >:(  While cleaning it up I’m thinking I hope they didn’t find my cam down the mountain .. yup and stole sd card which was probably empty! Got some pics off another cam , but not much

Spent the last 1.5 months trying to find the big 5 I saw in June. Nothing. Pretty much have watched all the bucks I saw in June since then plus a couple new ones.
