All those fish still hanging out in 4 and 5 are going to come in on the next water event unmolested.

I got out yesterday morning with three rods in 10.  Dead, dead, dead.  We had two take downs and caught one.  It was a big one though.  Talked to guys out on the water and at the launch that had nada.  Not even many marks on the sonar.

My buddy went out today for his last trip and he caught two at Redondo on spoons.

I thought the season would be better.  I caught a good amount of fish but still was hoping for easier fishing.  All those fish still hanging out in 4 and 5 are going to come in on the next water event unmolested.

Good luck this weekend.

Yup, I launched out of Eddie Vine and not even a drive by. Bio said it was slower than slow. Hardly any fish checked at the launch

I got my two fish Wednesday night and again this morning out front of Shilshole.  Definitely not great out there, but still some fish.  Creel counts are back down to about half a fish per person, from nearly 1.5 fish per person 10 days ago.

Had a pucker moment with a big male orca on Wednesday. He came from a few hundred yards out to swim right under my 15' Whaler and breach 10 feet on the other side.  This is the sequence, all in less than about 30 seconds.  I give them plenty of distance - orcas are bad for fishing - but nothing I can do if they come after me!  Didn't hit the DR wire or my line, just right in front.

Been there a couple of times with those creatures.  Exhilarating and a definite pucker factor at the same time! Great photos!

That’s pretty cool having that Orca drive by.  It’s probably worth going out after the silvers till the 30th.  I took the downriggers off the boat last night so for me the fat lady has done her thing.

My experience over the years is that it can stay good into early October unless/until we get a good rain, then it can get tough.  Weather looks steady today and tomorrow, then a whole lot of rain coming next week.

Creel report for yesterday at Shilshole was still about 0.8 fish/person, not shabby.  Who knows, maybe it'll hang on for a bit.  But the end is getting near.

What setup were you using and what depth? Don’t think I’ll make back out, but just in case :)

The lower Sno is thick with schools of Coho jumping and rolling.  But yeah, too many Chinook encounters again.

Wednesday night was a red racer flasher to green ace hi fly at 100’ about 6pm (sun still up). the second one was a morning mist (blinks) flasher to green glow hootchie at 80’ about 7:15 (sun well behind the hills).  31” leader.  Friday morning were both red racer to a cut down green/orange hootchie with the 27” leader. 60’ on the first and the second hit as I let it drift to the surface after popping off the rigger to check for weeds (I catch a lot of fish each year by letting it come to the surface on its own). All have a small, thin herring strip that rides inside.

Fished 10 today.  Not hot, but solid fishing.  Landed 4 coho and released a good King.  75-130' on the wire.  Spinfish with tuna and garlic.

Was in 10 Saturday, not like last Friday, took a while to put one in the boat.  Lost 3-4 and had to release a couple kings, nice looking kings, purple hue to them.
“In common with”..... not so much!!
