dang I should trap some. They are all over by my house. I see one dead in the road a few times per week

We had a stretch where we were disposing of about 15-20 a year but I think we finally drove them out or got them all.  Haven't seen any for a couple of years at the house.  Don't know that I could handle the smell though - something about skunk gives me the dry heaves at the slightest smell.

Same with me...15-20 per year for a few years, didnt know I could get paid for the hides.  I got a few cases of beer for it but not actual cash     Between the trapping and home encroachment they are definitely not as prolific as in the past.

Kind of a recent trend. They started using them to make Shtreimels. Hats traditionally worn by married orthodox Jewish men. They are just using the tails to my understanding.

Dang, if I'd have gotten those prices in high school... I'd have...  probably just spent it all on girls and Mustang parts.  But man, I'd have been cool...
Skunks seemed to be about the only thing I could catch on my trapline 
(and one raccoon that probably had a learning disability...)

I've always wanted one for a little rug... Finally had my chance a few years ago while trying to find a good place to go #2... I came upon it and it rushed me... Shot it with the 243 at 12 feet... I could kinda taste it... Wasn't much left for a rug...
