I think it should be who was ever next in line on the original drawing.

Why get in line for something you already got in line for.

This is like throwing out scrapes for the dogs to fight over.

I also think everyone one should be able to hunt all methods with no additional cost to residents. The fear of everyone going to the same secret hot spot would work itself out without government interference.

agree, it worked out fine by going to the next person who didn’t draw, that’s why I said some WDFW are idiots.  When something works, you usually stick w it.

Can someone explain it to me like I'm a child please?

I applied for a multi-season tag, no luck.

I only hunt deer with a bow, no firearms.
I will be hunting early archery deer season in September
I also want to hedge my bet in case I do not get a deer in September

If I buy a left-over multi-season tag now (some how beat the rush) and choose Modern Firearm as my weapon, will I still be able to hunt the September early season with a bow, and if I do not get a deer, then hunt October Muzzle-loader season with a bow, and if I still do not get a deer then hunt the Nov-Dec Modern Firearm season with a bow?

The unit I hunt, 504, allows all 3 seasons

Is this how the multi-season tags work?

When you get a multi-season tag, you turn back in whatever your active tag is which sounds like it's archery and you don't elect a single weapon choice. From there, you can hunt any open unit with the weapon specified. You can hunt your september archery, if no luck, october muzzy with a bow, and then the same for late season rifle with a bow.

Thanks, that is what I wasn't clear on, I have not gotten a tag of any kind yet.

No problem. MS lets you hunt any season that is OTC as long as you use that weapon. It still is only one tag though

You can also use any lessor weapon, ie: Modern season hunters can also use a muzzie or bow.

Muzzle loader season hunters can also use a bow.

Just archery seasons are limited to archery equipment.

This isn't specific to Multi-season tags either.

One caveat is if there are firearm/method restrictions in specific GMU's, then those restrictions have to be followed.

It is better to be consistently incorrect than inconsistently correct...

Thanks, I'd like to extend my season in case I fail the early archery season, but I don't want to have to hunt with a gun to do it.

It is literally the first thing on the WDFW website and has been since yesterday.

Thanks, guys. I was out of communication for a couple days. I see it on their website now but, nothing other Facebook or Instagram. Last year I received the email on August 20 and 21.

This is a screen shot of last year's bulletin.

If you purchase a leftover multi season elk tag, does your points for the multi season elk tag go to zero? Or do you still keep your accumulated points?

If you are gonna try to get an elk tag, best of luck!  You'll have to be first in line, and have an employee that knows what they are doing.  Fred meyer opens at 6 by my work, I'd have to be standing at the doors at 6 (or before) and get to the counter and sit for 4 hours, and then hope the person has half a brain. The tags will be gone in seconds.
