Live bait albacore charter
« on: February 03, 2025, 07:32:48 AM »
Is there any interest in a hunt Washington live bait tuna trip?  I would be willing to do a trip for hunt WA members and there friends, on August 23rd for $480 per person.  This trip leaves from the Port of Chinook.  I would have to have all 5 seats filled for this trip to happen.  We would run a private tuna trip for $2400 for 5 fisherman.

$480 per person including tax

I'd be interested.

Details on boat?  Duration of trip (2 skippers?).

I've fished long fins on my boat (26' Shamrock diesel), but not up here in WA.  Unfortunately, Albies haven't shown south of Fort Bragg CA for a decade or more.

What's the access to live bait?

The Fin-natic is a 31' northriver pilot house.  It's powered by twin 300hp yamaha outboards.  Full siute of simrad electronics.   We are currently adding starlink to the boat, so we have access to the latest satellite imagery.
We run day trips with a single captain and one deckhand.  We leave the dock around 530 in the morning and return around 4pm.  The bait dock is in ilwaco.  We take on average 4 scoops of bait per day.

Hey Corey, I would take two of those seats.
Albacore, the better white meat.

Fishing is red hot right now.  Our first tuna trip was sat.  The guys wanted to stop with 28 albacore in the fish holds at 11.  My dad joined me and the deckhands for a couple hours of salmon fishing on Sunday.  We kept 2 chinook and 3 hatchery coho.  The biggest king was 19#.
