I went and looked at a new Ford Raptor Type R yesterday and they were asking $135k for it.  Nice truck, but not looking to just throw money to the wind.
If I could find one for msrp I’d probably make that upgrade. I bought a non r raptor in 2023 and had it shipped up from Iowa for 15-20k less than the dealers locally were charging.

There are used Raptor R’s for sale on marketplace for more than new MSRP. Probably going to be a long search.

I know it sounds crazy to say but 135 for a new 2025 Raptor R is actually the cheapest I've ever heard of one going for new.

My 2024 Silverado Crew Cab that I bought new in December 2023 was $43,000. I didn't think that price was too terrible. But yes most new trucks are priced way too high for me to ever consider buying one.
Must be a half ton, gas motor?  2 wheel drive?

Yes, half ton, 2.7 liter gas motor, 4 wheel drive but doesn't have low range.

17,000 miles on it now and 24 mpg average.

Interesting.
I don't remember ever seeing a 4DW truck without a transfer case for low range.

They have a transfer case. They just don’t have low range.

Thanks Josh.

That's even more interesting.

We had one for 2 weeks. Finally sold it for 10 over only because it didn’t have a moonroof.

Paid $32K for my F150 in 2012 and am at 260K miles... she is ready to be replaced but DAMN... I had a Duramax on order and couldn't sleep at night and cancelled it... gonna have to do something soon, but Jesus, having a hard time justifying it.

I did buy a Bronco Sport in 2023 for $36K for my work rig and that wasn't terrible.... but the trucks are  :yike:

Buy our new superdutys new.
Run them to 500,000 miles.
That's $0.20 a mile for the math Nerd Herd.
