Fish story, should call ripleys.
« on: August 08, 2009, 06:58:57 AM »
Went sockeye fishing at Lake Whenatchee Wed - Fri & was very windy all three days. Wed @ 3pm my favorite Mathews archery ball cap blew off ( boating) and never found it 2/3rds the way down the lake. We all know how important our " favorite" cap is ! My sweet wife declared Thursday morning that she was going down to the beach & look for my hat as she knew how important it was. Twenty minutes later she was back @ the camper and had my hat in her hand. It was a little sandy but I put it right on.   Side note we caught 5 sockeye Wed & Thurs am. Thursday afternoon & Friday it was to windy to head out. Just sat on the beach watching the 3 ft swells , wearing my cap. Mike

That is one of the best fish stories. Don't think I can top that one.

Is the taste of the bait worth the sting of the hook twice?

If you lost it on Wednesday why did it take her all the way until Thursday to go find it for you????  :chuckle: :chuckle:

I am just kidding, congrats on finding it, some people do not understand the importance of having your favorite cap. I retired mine when I left Alaska it now hangs on a set of moose antlers. It had been on every hunt and fishing trip for 7 years. Retired it in 2003. I never once picked it up or wore it since, until 2007 I was tired of going out elk hunting and never getting anything. So 2007 wore my favorite hunting cap, killed my 4x5 opening morning, the wife killed her 3x4 4 days later I then went to Idaho on the 17th and shot my 5x5 on the 18th. Came home and retired it again. Last year seen nothing.....
