Kansas Draw
« on: June 30, 2009, 10:48:14 PM »
The Kansas deer draw was very kind to non-residents this year.  I kept checking every day since forever hoping to get drawn.  Today I saw this message when I opened it up:

Welcome to the Application Status Site for KDWP!
All nonresidents were successful in drawing a whitetail either sex deer permit. For mule deer results call 620-672-5911

Looks like I was holding my breath for nothing!

So it's Kansas HERE I COME!  Now I just have to keep my sanity until November.
Bring a GPS!  It's awkward to have to eat your buddies!

Yeah great for you, hope to see some big cornfield whitetail on your wall.  I am hoping to head to Peola next weekend to look around and get permission slips.  My cousin was suppost to talk to Justin Dickson for me but I have not heard yet.  What are the dates for you hunt?

I think I'm heading down there the second and third week of November.  The guy I did the hunt swap with on Archery Talk just happens to be an airline pilot and is giving me the ticket free, so I'll go whenever and wherever he says!  He's got a couple new stands set up in a corner of one of the properties that has never been hunted that he says will be dynamite this year.  I've seen the bucks he's killed, and if he's excited about it, then I know it'll be an unforgettable hunt.
