Tikka 7prc
« on: January 06, 2026, 09:37:40 PM »
Anybody have any experience with a Tikka 7PRC? If so what model, how’s the accuracy? Looking at getting one and possibly throwing it in an AG Composite stock.i have a 6.5 prc in a tikka veil wideland, doing research online about the 7PRC in tikka seems like mostly horror stories about not being accurate and unmanageable recoil. Just wonder if these reviews are the outliers are the norm? Lets hear the good and bad.

Nothing the 7 can do that the 6.5 can’t. Upgrade scope, stock or add a suppressor to your 6.5

I have a Tikka 6.5prc and a custom 7prc, so maybe not the exact feedback you are looking for, but I love shooting both. Both were extremely easy to load for (hammer hunter bullets), neither has what I would call significant recoil (I can watch my LR impacts with both), and both serves its purpose. I hunt with the 7prc because (1) it's a nicer rifle and (2) it has better long range ability. But I wouldn't hesitate to pick up the 6.5prc for anything.

Assuming you are referring to the T3X Superlite, Backfire on Youtube made a video on it.

Never argue with a stupid person, they will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

I own both calibers and love both.  Neither are tikka's......so not sure I have much to offer on that front.  Lots of other great rifles out there in 7prc if you are worried about he tikka reviews.  My particular 7prc is a Weathery Mark 5 Apex.  I will likely be purchasing Seekins in 7prc.  For whatever reason, I feel the need to have at least two rifles in each caliber I own.  It allows me to customize light and fast or heavier bullets to fit my hunting needs.   :chuckle: :chuckle: :chuckle:

Tikkas are great when it comes to the short and medium length cases.  Get into the magnums and there isn’t any room in the magazine for loads longer than SAAMI spec.
