Any ideas what to use for a old smart one the has gotten out of suitcases traps that might entice into a large cage where he stops at the opening and laughs. He wont look at a suitcase he knows after 2 times.

There’s no magic potion that will get him to go in a cage once you’ve spanked him with one. You might get him in an under water set in a den entrance or channel. But where your at channels are rare.
You gotta leave some seed for next year anyway. Go get on some new beaver.
