Knight Wolverine
« on: July 02, 2009, 07:20:19 PM »
Do any of you here shoot a Knight Wolverine, and if so, how do you like it.  It appears to be similar to the Bighorn with the exception of the barrel being 22 inches vs. 26 inches on the Bighorn.  The Knight manual also has them listed together as far as operation, assembly etc.  Does the Wolverine accept the same breech plug as the Bighorn for #11 caps and musket caps?   Thanks

I have a wolverine with a 24 inch stainless barrel and yes the breech plugs are the same as the bighorn model.Knight went out of business so if you can find breech plugs you better get them while you can. The breech plug you want is #90023K.
It's better to have a gun and not need it than to need one and not have it.                                                                             Local 66 sheetmetal workers

Hey Yelp...see you just had to bring out your baby picture that was "floating" around during turkey season....you still, look exactly the same, just older...lol.

3DSheet.........found a couple places that have the breech plug #900023, without the K on the end.  Is this the one that was replaced with the plug with the K?  Will it work?  Here's a picture.....look like your?

Thanks for the information Dawhunt.  I did fine some already and ordered them.  There are a few out there, but just a few.  As an example, I got the last one from Midway USA.  Inventory is very limited everywhere.  Thanks again.

Got a reply back from Knight Rifles about the Bighorn and Wolverine essentially being the same gun.  They confirmed that as true....all parts, triggers, stocks, trigger guards, breech plugs etc., are interchangeable between the two.  Bought a couple Wolverine .209's at a great price, camo with blued barrel......changed out the .209 breech plug and replaced with one of the extra 900023 breech plugs I bought for the bighorn which accepts nipples for both #11 and musket caps.  Easy switch.
I also like the idea of that 22 inch barrel of the wolverine for chasing blacktails in western Washington brush.
