The only man who never makes a mistake, is the man who never does anything!!
The further one goes into the wilderness, the greater the attraction of its lonely freedom.

Even worse is hunters who don’t have clue cheering them on ,on Facebook comments.

This is all about getting rid of the Director and being orchestrated by Smith, Baker because the director asked the governor to investigate.

It seems they left out the other half of the commissions mandate: What it is
The Commission establishes policies to preserve, protect, and perpetuate fish, wildlife, and ecosystems while providing sustainable fish and wildlife recreational and commercial opportunities compatible with healthy and diverse fish and wildlife populations.

What they said:
WDFW failed in its duty to “preserve, protect, perpetuate, and manage” state wildlife on behalf of all current and future Washingtonians.

They also said :
beavers, which are essential to mitigating climate change by cooling streams, creating natural firebreaks, reducing flooding, and creating habitat for other species.

Beavers by their nature dam up streams to flood an area. Do they mean reduce flooding in one area because a different area is flooded?

There statistic is that 2% of Washington residents hunt is probably accurate. The problem is that the squeaky wheel gets the grease and we hunters are never unified and just let them slowly erode away our rights.

Here's what's happening. The area code for  Dr. Francisco J. Santiago-Ávila is from Wisconsin/he doesn't even live here and he's suing our state/citizens.
Here are the primary groups he is (or has been) associated with:

1. Washington Wildlife First

Role: Science & Advocacy Director

Type: Wildlife advocacy nonprofit based in Washington State

Focus: Reforming wildlife management policy, especially predator protection

2. PANWorks (Policy, Ethics, Animal Wellbeing think tank)

Role: Founding member, board clerk, and fellow

Type: Ethics/policy organization

Focus: Promoting animal rights, justice, and non-anthropocentric ethics

3. Project Coyote

Role: Former Science & Ethics Manager

Type: National advocacy group

Focus: Ending lethal predator control and promoting coexistence with carnivores

4. The Rewilding Institute

Role: Science and Conservation Manager (Heartland Rewilding)

Focus: Large-scale ecosystem restoration and predator recovery

5. Carnivore Coexistence Lab (University of Wisconsin–Madison)

Role: Postdoctoral researcher / associate lecturer

Focus: Scientific research on predator–human conflict

He's a paid hunting hitman and would rather see our ungulates disappear (along with our hunting rights) than admit that the North American Wildlife Conservation Model is the biggest factor protecting and funding wildlife conservation, as a whole, in the world today.

Yup ,sounds like a wiener.

Think Santiago forgot this part as well

The commission shall attempt to maximize the public recreational game fishing and hunting opportunities of all citizens, including juvenile, disabled, and senior citizens.

RCW 77.04.012: Mandate of department and commission. https://share.google/RK2VdhfFymoC4DtVZ

WDFW does monitor wildlife through harvest reports ,dang that Santiago isn't very smart.😂

Thank you Pianoman for posting this! I learned something new, didn't know he worked for the rewilding institute. Not once has he ever provided real evidence based in science. Im sure his papers have never been broadly released for review, they're all probably all echo chamber reviews by his friends. Seriously, thank you Pianoman! This helps inform people and lets them know what we're up against. We still have a long way to go, but our community here in WA is more informed than it's ever been. Its so nice to finally see this. Huge difference then when I first got involved back in 22.
