That’s exactly how I feel. I remember subscribing to “fishing and hunting news”
Delivered in the mail box so I basically could read about where I didn’t want to go.
If a lake or hunting area was profiled with all the info and maps  I would totally avoid those spots.
It’s the same now. Just differnt venue. But do agree more advanced.
The good ole days are the good ole days.

Yep. Recent elk hunting video posted up and man does it pave the way. Why cant people just keep to themselves or at least attempt to keep areas low key? Everyone wants to be a 15 min of fame star.

First and foremost, my post is not directed at the video that was posted last week. It’s about the video that was just released on a last year‘s Hunt that had trailheads and obvious location markers throughout the video.

Ive certainly harped on some people about sharing photos with landmarks or outright spot burning. I've also been culpable over the years from birds to big game as the internet sleuths keep getting better. As others said, sharing DM info that then gets outted makes one extra cautious keeping everything close to the vest.

My youtube searching skills are not as good as everyone else! I found a lot of old videos... Not that one at all... Thank you... I shall watch it...

I fast forward to the 35 min when they start hunting after the first few... Now they do show a sign that you have to know where it is to find it... Probably could look it up... Another sign that gives a location away... I assume if you draw those quality tags most people will do the homework they need to do to learn the area to be successful if they don't already know the place... It's actually a rather easy gmu to figure out imho compared to other elk gmu's... Has a high success rate on special permits... But all in all to me... After dropped the late muzzy hunts got dropped and it went true spike it lost it's appeal to me for regular and any late season hunting... And because of the facts that the odds of drawing a tag with max points are less than 1%... I put in for other quality tags that are less desired for elk... But I've got drawn twice for quality elk... Once with 4 points... The second with 5 points... Filled both tags and had great hunts with my dad... It wasn't a 400" monster... But almost on the first one... I can't draw a deer tag to save my life but I am not putting in for lesser units on those... I'm also not cool enough to film hunts...
